Character Information
Character name: Antonio Fernandez Carriedo
Nation: Kingdom of Spain
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Appearance
Height: around 5'8
Hair/eyes: Brown, slightly wavy and messy hair//emerald green eyes
Notable Features: Nothing extremely notable. He has a nice athletic body with an equally nice backside.
Personality:
Antonio is always extremely cheerful and optimistic, which is obvious to anyone who meets him. He is known for having a bright personality, though he can be very thickheaded or dense at times. Okay, make that most of the time. This makes him appear a bit slow or insensitive at times. He has a big heart, thinking with that most of the time instead of his head which can be a nuisance. Overall he is very laid back and simplistic. Antonio would much prefer being outside in the garden than doing anything big and fancy. His heart is always with the country. Like most people who enjoy outdoors more than indoors, technology is kind of an enemy of his since it is a bit confusing. Still, he won't admit there is a problem.
Most of the time Antonio is like an open book and very easy to read. He is extremely easy to excite, often getting all worked up over tiny things. At the same time, though he normally appears perpetually happy, he is very easy to frustrate. When in contact with the right people, he can have a little bit of a temper, and can be mean in his own way when the situation calls. He would do anything for someone close to him (within reason of course).
Being extremely friendly, Antonio tends to get along with most nations, and even regular people. Even when he doesn't, he still tends to think he does. Antonio has an undeniable soft spot in his heart for children and adorable things. When around them, he turns more dorky than normal and won't resist his urges to dote all over them.
Mythology
Raposa de Morgaza - In Lugo, Galicia. Nobody has ever seen this fox which emits chilling howls at night announcing misfortune or death.
Don Juan is a rogue and a libertine who takes great pleasure in seducing women and (in most versions) enjoys fighting their champions. Later, in a graveyard, Don Juan encounters a statue of Don Gonzalo, the dead father of a girl he has seduced, Dona Ana de Ulloa, and impiously invites the father to dine with him; the statue gladly accepts. The father's ghost arrives for dinner at Don Juan's house and in turn invites Don Juan to dine with him in the graveyard. Don Juan accepts, and goes to the father's grave where the statue asks to shake Don Juan's hand. When he extends his arm, the statue grabs hold and drags him away, to Hell.
The Black Legend (La Leyenda Negra) resulted in the perception of Spain and Spaniards as cruel, intolerant and fanatical. It is said to be influenced by national and religious rivalries as seen in the works by early Protestant and other European historians, describing the period of Spanish imperialism in a negative way. Other examples of the Black Legend are said to be found in the exaggeratedly negative portrayals of the Spanish Inquisition in both historiographical and artistic depictions.
Lovers of Teruel is a tragic story of romance. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lovers_of_Teruel (Long story, so I will link to it~)
La Guita Xica is a dragon that appears amongst the legends of Catalonia. It was originally a kind of "mule that is kicking the foot up," hence the former name, "Mulaguita." It is a protective dragon that defends the people of Catalonia and the Eucharist's festivals of Patum de Berga. As for its appearance, it has a green body, and a very long neck and fangs. It also has dark, shining eyes.

His little boy was growing up. There was nothing he could do about it. No matter how much he cooed at him and pinched his cheeks, he was a man now. Lovino was nearly as tall as him nowadays.
Antonio's fingers trailed over one of the photos in an old album that he had put together himself countless years ago. No matter how many times he was forced to scold the hot headed little boy, all those times he called him uncute, the times he said he wished he had gotten Feliciano, he knew there was still something between the two of them. He always looked forward to seeing that grumpy little pout on Lovino's face waiting to greet him when he returned home after months upon months of being gone. In time, even broken vases made him laugh from failed cleaning attempts.
He missed things like nights of sleeping in bed together when the little boy was scared, and subsequently waking up hours later after a bed wetting incident. Bedtime stories, kissing hurt knees, playing in the garden, snuggling away the tears, he missed everything.
The Spaniard's focus shifted to a picture taken outside. Lovino was holding a broom with an angry little glare, feisty as ever with those little cheeks that made his face resemble a tomato. Antonio himself was there too, looking as cheerful as ever despite the glaring.
Antonio's thoughts were forced back to reality when he heard his front door opening, followed by stomping towards him. It was Lovino, huffing and puffing over something Antonio had done that was deemed idiotic, to put it kindly. Still, he was happy to see him there, despite the yelling. The poor Italian was getting awfully worked up, face turning red with that glare staring into him. With a final look at the photo in the album, Antonio closed it and tucked it into the bookshelf before turning back to Lovino with a huge grin on his face.
Some things never changed.
Other Important Notes
The Black Legend might not be exactly a "legend" per say, but in a way it is because of the ways people made up things, on top of the horrible things done in that period. If it doesn't count, just tell me~
Be glad I didn't include the one about the lizards and lady parts.
I am still looking at things occasionally, so if something else is added, it is just because I was researching more!
